Renzo Gobea is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. He is originally from Peru and shares a special passion for adolescents and families.
Renzo started his studies in Psychology in Lima Peru and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Georgia State University. He has five years of experience working with adolescents, families and couples through community based counseling and private practice. Renzo’s main focus is working with males ages five through senior adulthood on a range of issues including PTSD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and behavioral and substance abuse problems. In his therapeutic practice he uses an Adlerian approach and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
Renzo provides skills groups in parenting, therapy groups for depression/anxiety and substance abuse, and groups for adolescents with diverse behavioral issues. He is certified as a Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner and Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach for substance abuse. Renzo also shares his expertise as a school counselor. He is also employed in a local elementary school as a bilingual school counselor.
